| Alicia
trained at the Barcelona
Glass Centre, studying contemporary stained glass and fused
glass design as well as traditional glass restoration techniques.
She then worked briefly for one of Spain's foremost glass artists
José Castrillo in his Barcelona studio.
In 1998 she returned to Scotland, eventually setting up her glass
studio with three friends in 2000. She frequently returns to Barcelona,
as Spanish architecture and the Mediterranean culture remain some
of the strongest influences in her work.

Alicia's
glass is almost exclusively produced on a commission basis for
both private and public buildings. However she continues to produce
one-off fused and sculptural glass pieces and a range of comtemporary
jewellery
designs for exhibition and retail sale.
|
Her
fully equipped studio has all the facilities required for a comprehensive
range of glass repair and restoration techniques which she is
happy to undertake for private, corporate and ecclesiastical clients.
